I’m an Integrative Counsellor in Winchester, providing both face-to-face therapy and secure online counselling sessions for mental health support.
My approach to integrative therapy in Winchester is deeply informed by my background in construction and fitness. These experiences taught me the importance of foundational strength, consistent effort, and a solid blueprint—principles I now integrate into my counselling practice.
Choosing a counsellor is fundamentally about establishing the right relationship. It takes courage to open up, and I want you to know that my space is built on safety, trust, and zero judgment. As a young male counsellor, I offer a contemporary, straightforward dynamic—I'm here to listen deeply, understand authentically, and work alongside you as an active partner.
I work with individuals facing a range of challenges, from anxiety and relationship stress to those who feel stuck or are searching for direction. My aim with a relational approach to counselling is simple: to help you understand yourself better so you can live more fully.
My practice is rooted in a Relational-Integrative philosophy, which serves as the foundation of my integrative therapy in Winchester. This approach emphasizes that while I draw on various theories, the quality of our connection during face-to-face therapy is the most powerful tool for change.
The integrative model allows me to step away from 'one-size-fits-all' treatments and focus entirely on you—the individual sitting across from me. We look beyond just symptoms to understand the origins of your difficulties, equipping you with the tools for future growth and providing effective mental health support.
In this process, we are equals. I don’t see myself as the expert; rather, you are the expert on your life. My role is to offer reliable support, genuine empathy, and, at times, gentle challenges to help you see things differently.
To achieve this, I draw on a flexible mix of therapeutic concepts:
We use Person-Centred warmth to establish a secure foundation, giving you the safety to explore anything without condition.
We explore Transactional Analysis (TA) to help you map and understand your key communication and relationship patterns, identifying where you may be getting 'stuck' in old ways of relating.
We gently explore Psychodynamic concepts to understand how your past experiences, particularly in childhood and early relationships, may be shaping your current anxieties and behaviours.
Underlying all our work is Existentialism, which encourages us to face core human concerns—your freedom, your responsibility for choice, and your search for personal meaning in the face of anxiety.
This collaboration ensures that your therapy—whether through face-to-face therapy or online counselling—is relevant, dynamic, and ultimately effective for your life, aligning with my commitment to a relational approach to counselling.
